White privilage is NOT white guilt. It’s a historical fact that black slave labor had a huge effect on all the Americas and by the early 19th, on industrialisation in the north and Europe (e.g. 75% drop in cotton prices that was the main raw material. We all benefited critically from slavery, even women, and workers, etc. This is not counting the back pay and compensating for the mass torture and rape (again worse in 19th c industrial slavery in Louisiana and Mississippi. And then add the long term and ongoing discrimination in multiple markets…
