libertarians calling to “privatize marriage” hmmmm… Interesting…

But I’m sure they don’t mean to have some private corporation manage our sex and family lives right? Aren’t they actually wanting to say that the political power over such things (property rights) should be REDISTRIBUTED to the people? Libertarian discourse in the US is rarely consistent.

      Libertarian and “privatization” is not the same as the word liberty. I wish you would tell me WHY my comment is mindnumbingly idiotic. Maybe you just didn’t get my econ joke. I was poking fun at many libertaruans who seem to forget that privatization does not necessarily give liberty to the people involved (in this case: LGBT who want to marry). It too often involves giving that power to private unaccountable institutions. I’m always happy to explain myself and debate any topic if tou wish.
